With a new year upon us, there is no better time to grow in our individual study of God’s Word. In the following article, Matt Smethurst offers a straightforward but helpful method for studying our Bibles. If regular biblical study has not been a part of your life, remember that this is a spiritual discipline that can be developed. Commit to a fresh start in this discipline this year. A small start is better than none at all! Approach studying your Bible as you would approach getting to know a friend or spouse. Jesus is a person that can be known, and the means through which God has provided for us to know Him is His Word. And he promises that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled!
