Joshua Earl
Senior Pastor
Joshua serves Grace City Church primarily through preaching and teaching, casting vision, and leading the pastoral team. Joshua is originally from North Providence, RI, where he met his bride, Michelle. They were married in 2005, and have three children. Joshua began his pastoral ministry in 2011, graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastors College in 2017, and moved to Wilmington in May 2018 to help plant Grace City Church.
Several books that have impacted his life are The Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges, Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund, and The Works of John Newton by Banner of Truth. In his free time you can find him playing with his children, spending time with Michelle, reading, or watching a good show on Netflix.
Aaron Beane
Pastor
As a bivocational pastor, Aaron serves Grace City Church by providing pastoral care, teaching, and overseeing evangelism and outreach. Aaron is originally from Asheboro, NC, was married to Andrea in 2008, and together they have four children. Aaron attended and graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College in 2017. In April 2018, the Beanes moved to Wilmington to help plant Grace City Church.
Several books that have made an impact on Aaron’s life are Spiritual Depression by Martyn Lloyd-Jones, The Trellis and the Vine by Tony Payne, and Living the Cross-Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney. The Beanes own and manage a pool maintenance company and a pressure washing business. In his free time, Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, bicycle riding, and hiking.
Jim Hawkins
Pastor
As a bivocational pastor, Jim serves Grace City Church by providing administrative support, overseeing the Financial Advisory Committee and the Sunday Gathering, and, along with his wife, Sharon, providing support for the other pastors and their families. Jim has been married to Sharon for 40 years and together they have 7 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Jim has been a Sovereign Grace pastor for over thirty years, and more recently helped plant Risen Hope Church in Summerville, SC, before his contracting job relocated them to the Wilmington area.
Several books that have made an impact on Jim’s life are A Praying Life by Paul Miller, Living the Cross-Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney, and Gospel Fluency by Jeff Vanderstelt. In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with Sharon and visiting his family, kayaking, fishing, and playing golf.

Brian Stalvey
Sunday Morning Admin
Brian serves the pastoral team by overseeing the operational aspects of the Sunday Gathering. He ensures that our time together is well-served by our trained volunteers and keeps the gathering flowing efficiently. Brian’s love for the Lord and His church is evident in his faithful presence and smiling face!
Sean McKinney
Connections
Sean serves newcomers to Grace City Church by being the first official point of contact with them. He loves meeting new folks and desires to meaningfully connect them with the life of the church. Sean is a godly man and doesn’t know a single stranger!
