Visit Grace City

We gather for worship at Winter Park Elementary School every Sunday morning at 10AM.

What to expect

We have two simple goals for our worship gatherings: to make much of Jesus above all else and to share His love with those who visit.  We don’t put on a big show, and we don’t have it all together. We are simply a gospel-centered church made up of sinners who have been saved by the grace of God in Christ.  Because of this, each time we come together we make every effort to remember how the work of Jesus Christ in His life, death, and resurrection matters for everyday life.  We believe God uses this gospel to change us, making us more like our Savior. He is the center of our gathering.

In light of this, each Sunday when we gather there are a few things that will happen.  You’ll be greeted by people who genuinely care about you and are glad you decided to spend a part of your Sunday evening with us. We’ll then raise our voices and sing of the glories of Jesus, we’ll read Scripture, and we’ll listen to an expositional sermon from God’s word.  There will be prayer, and we’ll receive the Lord’s Supper on specific Sundays.  If you have children (elementary age or younger), during the sermon they’ll join up with other GC Kids!, where they will learn about Jesus in an engaging and safe environment.

Above all, we’ll make much of Jesus, and be sure you sense His love.

That’s it. No lights or smoke. No props or frills. No gimmicks. Just Jesus!

There is a parking lot on the north side of the school, adjacent to the playground. Park in the lot and take the sidewalk to the front entrance of the school (look for the signs!).

There are also a limited number of spaces available in front of the building (on MacMillan Ave) that we have reserved for visitors, families with young children, and our guests with limited mobility.

A smiling face will be there to greet you!

Get Involved

In Matthew 16:18, Jesus promised, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” We moved to Wilmington to start Grace City Church because we believe this is true! We believe that Jesus has a people for Himself in Wilmington that He desires to redeem through the gospel, making them a part of His body (the local church).  The work of church planting is a great undertaking, but we trust that God will add individuals to Grace City Church who loves Christ and love people—men and women who possess a variety of gifts and talents, unique callings, and a heart for the city of Wilmington (1 Cor. 12:12-27).

As we prepare to launch this fall, our fervent prayer is that God would introduce us to folks who will partner with us in His name, so that together we would be able to make much of Jesus in this city as we gather in community and love our neighbors in Wilmington. Specifically, there are several categories of people we have been praying for, which are listed here.

If you would like to learn more about what it would look like to be a part of Grace City Church in any capacity, please fill out the form below.  One of our pastors will contact you soon to meet with you! And don’t worry, by reaching out to us you are not committing to anything.  We simply want to meet you and be a friend to you, always trusting that Christ will indeed build His church!
